WE ARE HAVING A BABY 🥹👶🏼::: I thought I would share abit about our journey so far… last year Baz and I were out to dinner with friends when just as we were leaving I was hit with pain so intense it felt like my organs were twisting. I ended up in hospital, and that night became the beginning of a completely unexpected chapter. After a whirlwind of scans and tests, I was diagnosed with endometriomas on both ovaries (a sign of stage 4 endometriosis). I’ve known for a LONG time that I have had endo. Three months later, the cysts had grown more. I was told they would continue to grow with every cycle I had. We weren’t wanting to start a family just yet and werent trying yet (the opposite actually) however the advice was clear: try now, and try fast (max of 6 months). My first AMH test showed an “average” egg reserve. That gave us a little hope. However we were told that the endometriomas could be damaging my egg reserve. After 5 months of trying with no luck, I had a HyCoSy to check for blockages (all clear). At 6 months my gynecologisy wanted to retest my AMH and it had halved. In just 6 months. My gynaecologist advised me to stop trying and start IVF immediately. So we did. We went in for our initial appointment and were ready to start. All I had to do was order my medication and wait for day 3 of my period (coming any day). And then… before we even started our first round, we found out I was pregnant. How my belly looks 2 months post laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis 🎗️ The incision areas from a laparoscopy are very small and mine have healed completely flat. I also have one in my belly button that is hidden.
